As a first-generation, Latina psychologist, Dr. Sylvia Herbozo is passionate about mentoring students pursuing careers in mental health. She has over 10 years of experience in higher education where she has mentored students in psychology doctoral programs, including first-generation students and those from underrepresented groups in psychology (e.g., Latino, Black, Asian).
Under Dr. Herbozo’s mentorship, students have been accepted into highly competitive psychology doctoral internships and postdoctoral fellowships. Professional development services include a variety of workshops, panels, and individualized feedback on all steps in the internship and fellowship processes.
